Hi There!
I'm Dao Han, a junior at Brown University studying Computer Science and Applied Math.
I've always enjoyed solving challenging problems and designing creative solutions. I started learning to code right before college and have continued to develop my skills at Brown.
To gain insight into the business models behind tech companies, I've worked at Alibaba Group's Miaojie, an online-to-offline retail solution for malls in China, as well as Grab, South-East Asia's largest ride hailing company.
Outside of class, I'm the logistics chair for the Brown University Merlions, our school's Singapore Students' Association. I'm also a campus tour guide, something I started to do to practise my public speaking skills.
I also attend hackathons to build my software engineering skills. At Hack@Brown 2018, my team and I recently built a news webapp showing politically diverse news sources, Spectrum, which won the Facebook Prize!
